IMPELLER SELECTION GUIDE

Impellers are available in sizes from 2" to 29". We supply both 1:1 pitch and 1 1/2: 1 pitch (super pitch). Standard materials are 316 stainless steel and carbon steel. Alloy 20, Monel, Nickel, and Hastelloy alloys are also available.

HYDROFOIL IMPELLER

  • Hydrofoil ImpellerWeight Advantage Above 16" Diameter
  • Very Efficient at Low Viscosities
  • Not Well Suited for High Viscosities
  • Can Be Readily Fabricated to Sanitary Design

HIGH SHEAR IMPELLER

  • High Shear ImpellerWorks Best at High Speeds
  • Good for Breaking Down Lumps or Agglomerates
  • Can Be Hard-Surfaced for Abrasive Applications
  • Often Used With Paints, Pigments and Slurries
  • Very High Pwer Consumption
